Out of all the fights on the board, this appears to be too good to be true. Does Hatton stand any chance against Tzuyu. I have this one pegged as Tzuyu in a laugher. Any chance this line drops down from -240/-250ish?

I doubt it. Starting to look around for Tzuyu and best I have found is -250 at CRIS. No way Hatton stops those missles coming at him. I don't care where they are fighting or what time.

That's the only advantage if you even want to call it that, Hatton has fighting in England that is. I don't think that will have any bearing on Tzuyu and his attack.

Hatton's style leaves him wide open to be countered, his work rate and go for broke style forces him to take punches as he's dishing them out. That style works well against opponents who lack one punch KO power, but its absolutely the wrong way to fight Tszyu who is pound for pound top 3 biggest punchers in the sport.

Hatton can only fight one way, he's not a boxer, he stands right in front of you and throws punches. Tzsyu is not only strong, he's also quick and a very good counterpuncher. For Hatton to win this fight, he will have to outwork Kostya the entire fight. The problem is, in order to accomplish that, he will have to eat a sh*tload of huge counters.

This fight is obviously in England where Hatton will have full support of the crowd and possibly some bias judging in his favor. Tzsyu is well aware of that and he will try to end this fight as quick as possible.

The kicker here is Hatton's chin b/c he will get hit extremely hard and often in this fight. I don't think anyone can take the punishment Hatton will have to take to win this fight.

My play is...

Tzsyu wins inside distance -120

I tell yea, the more I look at this fight, the more I think it is too good to be true. Tszyu is no spring chicken, and he was losing rounds to Lejia back in early 03. Mitchell was afraid of the bombs Kotsya can land. I just think this wont be as easy as it looks on paper. Hatton is a toug guy, and I think if he can find a way to avoid the big right hand counters, then he will wear Tszyu down. That is a big if though. Now we all would agree that Hattons style is a volume puncher, and he will eat some shots here, but I believe Tszyu will eat some shots of his own. With the possiblity of shady judging, I think a small bet on Hatton by dec might have some value. That and Tszyu by KO,TKO prob have the most value. Me personally, I just cant lay a 2.5 or 3 to 1 on rival turf. For me, i will prob just sit back and enjoy the fight. The crowd should be insane

BTW, box, I agree alot with what you said. Hatton will prob have to take alot of punishment. One thing ive always said though, is that Tszyu has always reminded me alot of Trinidad, and vise versa. They both arent the most mobile guys, but they have beaten most guys they have fough. At the same time, sooner or later, the big punch wont bail you out. Trinidad found that out. Who knows when Tszyu will have that happen, if ever

Trinidad found that out against Winky Wright, a slick southpaw who is defensively perfect and very hard to hit. Hatton is so much different than Wright its not even funny, he will be standing right in front of Tzsyu trading shots. Tzsyu is not just a big puncher, he is extremely skilled, much more skilled than Trinidad imo.

Btw, I already hedged with Hatton by decision +500 as posted at the other forum.

Never said Hatton and Wright were the same, I aint blind bro. haha But Tszyu and Trinidad remind me alot of each other. Tszyu is a bit more sneaky of a puncher. They arent poor boxers by anymeans, but they mostly rely on the power shots to turn the tide in their favor. I have seen them being outboxed for a round, or sometimes half of the fight, and then one big righthand turns the tide just like that. Rafeal Marquez is another guy like that. Not many guys can do what they do any only lose a handful of fights between the 2 of them in long careers. Tszyu is a better fighter all around in my opinion, he has more ring smarts to handle different styles. I still think he will have his hands full with Hatton until he can hurt him with a solid shot.

Well never thought I would see Tzuyu quit, biggest boxing wager ever and he couldn't make it to the 12th. Oh well, holding and punching works I guess. Congrats to you Hatton winners.
